God doesn't need you to fast even for a second for Him to work miracles through you. As a matter of fact, our Abba wants you to completely depend on his sufficient grace in demonstrating His power and Love to this dying world.
Do not get me wrong, I am not one of those that teaches that fasting and praying is not important or is outdated. I don’t teach that all. In our ministry Grace Word Assembly, we do fast and pray, even for long hours.
However, as important as fasting, praying, giving, visiting the sick, living righteously and other good works are, they are not the criteria for you to work miracles or manifest the power of God.
If you depend on anything you can do to see the power of God in awesome demonstrations, you will rarely see it. That is because under Grace which is the new testament, everything depends on God and your ability to receive from Him. Read the underlined again and then take a look at the below scriptures with me.
Gal 3:1  O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Gal 3:2  This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Gal 3:3  Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Gal 3:4  Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
Gal 3:5  He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
I’d like you to pay a closer attention at verse 2, 3 and 5. Let me bring those verses together and point out something really quick to you.
"This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith Gal 3:3  Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?...He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?"
See how Paul took his time to point out that in the ministrations of the Spirit and the workings of miracles under the new covenant of Grace, which came to us by the sacrifice of Jesus, all that is required of us is the same thing that was required of us when we received the spirit at the beginning.
What was required of us then that is still required of us now in the manifestation of the power of God? The answer is simple. Faith!
Wait a little bit. By faith here, I don’t mean a special ability that you need to struggle to pull up from the inside of you. Like you see some people tighten their face and fists and scream “I am in Faith”, “I strongly believe” etc. As if you can’t have faith without tightening your face to look very serious.
The faith I’m talking about here that is required of you is simply to see God’s ability and willingness to perform that particular desire of yours irrespective of how holy you have lived, how many hours you have prayed and fasted, how much you have given or done anything else to merit or qualify for it.
In other words, you are to understand and be fully convinced at that very spot you want to see the power of God at work, that God is not just able to do that particular miracle but that He also wants to do it because He loves you and the people you want to minister to.
This understanding and conviction of His love, willingness and power independent of your qualifications as a man is what God calls Faith. When you allow this dawn on you, there is hardly anything supernatural you can’t do.
You can be coming from your prayer room and manifest God’s power. You can be coming from your dining and do it. You can even be leaving your bedroom where you just met with your spouse and do the same.
The reason is because at all times, you are fully convinced that God doesn’t need you to be at your best moments before he releases his power to you or through you. On His own part, He can do His wonders through you at any second of the day you let Him.
The moment you understand this basic truth that God is 24/7 ready to use you just as you are now, you have automatically connected yourself to His ever sufficient grace. And the outcome must be a life of miracles.
You don’t need to have your acts together, fast for 100 days, pray for 72 hours or abstain from meeting your spouse on a special day of the week for God to flow His power through you. He only needs you to believe Him that He can and wants to do it through you, and then listen attentively to your heart for His instructions or leading at that point you want to demonstrate His power. (Read this paragraph again and assimilate it)
Take a look at the miracle that took place at the Beautiful Gate and observe Peter’s words immediately after that manifestation of the power of God, you will understand this better.
Act 3:1  Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.
Act 3:2  And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;
Act 3:3  Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.
Act 3:4  And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
Act 3:5  And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
Act 3:6  Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Act 3:7  And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
Act 3:8  And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
Act 3:9  And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
Act 3:10  And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
I like you to pay a closer attention from this point.
Act 3:12  And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
Act 3:13  The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
Act 3:14  But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
Act 3:15  And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
Act 3:16  And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
To help you get Peter’s words clearer, let me bring together his explanations in verse 12, 13, 16.
“And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus;… And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
According to what Peter said in the verses we just read, the miracle never happened because of their personal holiness or human performance of any sort.
God simply glorified the death of His son (Grace) and their conviction in the willingness of God and the efficacy of the name of His Son (which is Faith from God’s perspective) and the miracle happened.
Now am I saying those who desire to work miracles should live anyhow because God doesn’t count their actions to manifest His power through them? God forbid! I am not and can never say such things.
As a matter of fact, living carelessly may darken your understanding of God’s grace and faith, and even limit your ability to receive from Him. Your ability to receive from Him I say, not His ability to give you. So as much as you can, LIVE RIGHTLY.
However, never depend on anything you can do on your own to be able to manifest the power of God. Not fasting, giving, charity works etc. Build your heart to depend only on His Grace at all times. That is what God calls Faith.
That is how to effortlessly walk in the miraculous. For more explanations on this, kindly get a copy of the book: HOW TO DEMONSTRATE AND CONSTANTLY WALK IN THE SUPERNATURAL By Prince Gabriel Okocha today.
